i just saw on ebay what looks to be a weiand wc245 4x2 hemi intake. there are no casting markings. the seller claims it is a cragar intake and cragar did not mark the intake during the early years of manufacture. never heard of what the seller is claiming.
Its a weiand. cragars had a open chamber and weiand had the crossovers underneath. Someone must have taken the logo off along time ago.
The cragars were a continuation of a Horne design, there's a cool thread on Horne parts on here that's worth a look.
i told the ebay seller that the intake is a weiand wc245. he insists that it is an early unmarked cragar.
"Ended by seller due to listing error" Yup, not a cragar. $18xx is below reserve. Needs reevaluate the reserve where it's a less valuable Weiand.
The last few weiands have sold for that and more, I contacted the seller about his Horne manifold he mentioned and he is a nice guy with bad info. 5k for that one!
I had one that had no name and had not been grinded off, looked like it had never been installed, late Horne or early Cragar I had paid good money for it and was able to get my money back out of it(wish I could have kept it, had made promise to wife if I got my car) If I am not mistaken they sold new for 69$, if a person knew(better than gold)
