scored and cut... wet sanded smooth and then burnished on the edges... waterjet is good too, but spend. speakin of spendy, laser cut is good too, cause it burnishes as it cuts, but i've heard of the glass tempering funny cause of the heat of the laser.
I'd look for something making the window frame not be flat. if there's pressure on it, then it'll break
