I've got a 91 Ford Country Squire wagon with 185,000 miles on it.
302, auto trans w/overdrive. Seems to run ok.
Trans was rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago.
Anything worth saving for earlier projects, like my 65 Country Sedan?
Can you put a carb and intake on it and still use the auto trans/overdrive?
Can the trans be used with an earlier small block Ford?
    Thanks.

Save the AOD, pre '93 units were non computer controlled. It will bolt to any early SBF or Big Block Inline 6 (240 and 300), except pre '65 5 Bolt 289's. You can also get adaptors to bolt the AOD to FE's and 385 Series Big Blocks. They are good transmissions that can take a decent amount of power with minimal up grades.
You can put a carb on the 302 by just swaping intakes.
