When l was wondering around the fair grounds down in Puyallup for the GoodGuys Show
l couldnt believe they did this to this nice GTX and l just had to take some Picture's to show the boys at home.
This car was built just in the last few years not in the 70s
l just had to laugh.
BUT l had to keep a straight face when l talked to them there was alot of work put into this car to bad they just got bad taste.
OOOOOOYYYYAAA the cars name is Thumper...
Maybe this is a calling for the Rev.






Plus could you believe they took the 440 out and put a 409 Chevy in because it goes faster....

Also l will put a guy owns it, l guess he did the work to make his wife happy..

Wow. Well you have to appreciate their craftsmanship... BUT let's all laugh at their horrible taste.

 

That paint job would only look good in a babys room,,,and only for a couple of years,,,,, HRP

 

What a waste of TWO good motors, that car just screams "Pull me over and beat my ass"

 

Even when I was 9 years old in 1973 I wouldn't have even considered it.

 

I just threw up in my mouth a little after looking at those pictures...

 

The 409 has me stumped, that's like going backwards, especially when you put a blower on it, but the rest looks okay to me. I dig that blue button tuck interior and the excellent wheel and tire selection.

Maybe, just maybe, they're tired of all the fender tag readers heckling them about what to do with their car, and this is some sort of revenge. I hope it was a 440-6 fourspeed car with all the power options and one of two with warm air in the tires or something like that.

 

Just think how much it's going to cost to restore that mural when the car goes into the "Traditional Hot Rod" class competition class at Pebble Beach in 2050...

 

Well isn't that gorgeous...and if the paintjob and the motor wasn't enough...they added a stained glass dash and console...

 

And they even dropped 409 (?) in it! God I'm glad those days are over! Back then I used to stay home a lot!
