Great thread. Makes me want to dig my '65 out of storage and finish it up. Almost. I want to finish my '39 Olds coupe gasser and my '31 A coupe first.

One of my favorites too. I'll see if any of the local guys have a picture I can scan.

Rocky what's the story on the 57 on the lift? Any history? There were so many 56/57 that ran in MSP and then later in gas. Always hoping we can fill in some of the history.-Jim

Not a gasser but keeping track of this one, in hiding for a few decades now, not my favorite year so I don't pursue it like I should...................

Brigrat, the car looks like it is worth pursuing. Although I like 61/62s best, 58-60s are great cars. A pretty good example is this one from Indiana. I would love to park this car in my barn for sure.

Herb your 60 looks as good as ever.-Jim

Nice 60 vette, it would be great to continue its' "Hot Rod " past. But the extra insulation on the floor is a bit over done. Yes, some header heat will come up, but ????

I had almost forgot the tower was on the other side of the track ( along with the return road.) Great pictures.

Belvedere65, great pics of Hayseed. Although I like the pics as much as the next guy I really like the history of the cars. I am sure that there is some pretty decent history of the car and its owner and driver. Feel free to chime in with any bits of its past. So much of the history of these old drag cars is gone and forums such as the HAMB can help resurrect maybe even a small part of heritage of the hundreds of Vettes that ran at the drag strips.

Anyone else with history of these old Vettes feel free to chime in as well. I have talked to a number of Vette owners at shows that told me their newly "restored" Vette when they bought it was an old drag car. When I asked them if they ever tried to track down its past I can say I have never gotten any type of positive response.

There has to be some good stories behind Hayseed I am sure-Jim

Man , I loved the Lime Light, having seen it once at Irwindale. It was there to just test and tune as the AA/GS werent running that day. The only other time I saw it was a little later where the car was being trailered through a Covina based liquor store parking lot after the crew bought their ice and snacks for the drags that day.
