  1. My ex-emailed this to me today...found it on some geek board online...was an old pic of a girls dad and his rod...was in HOT ROD aparently too..


    I just love the bonnet.

    So is that an Aussie thing? What in the wide world of sports was it used for? Do you know anything about it other then your ex sent it? Is it me or is the steering on the left side of the car? Somebody tell me SOMETHING. And not just the word something......you know who you are.;) :D

    sorry, the rest of australia appologises for mai ki ki's brain fart.

    looks to be a 37-9 coupe, would have been used in speedway here, as alot were, from the trophies guess it was a competitive one!

  6. Sure is, You can just see San Jose on the sign on the wall. Also it,s LHD.
    Other than that Aussie speedway cars looked exactly the same in the 50s /60s.

    Yep, it's an old stock car. They were popular in my area back in the day, and now there are quite a few restored and cloned ones that pop up at local shows.

    I don't think the hood is "Polished", I think that's what they used to call " GLOSS PAINT!" :rolleyes: LOL! Check the reflection in the roof. The hood is just glare from the camera flash, looks like two tone with a scallop on the stock hood.
