Have a lot of the same mags, see the likes, but mine are stored in containers. Those were definitely interesting times for drag racing ideas and innovations!
That's a cool one. Like others, mine aren't very organized. I have a lot of these Motor Age mags. They have some very cool art. I'll post these two and look for more and post them later. Sent from my SM-G920P using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Here are some from my accumulation: All American Drags Illustrated:a magazine devoted strictly to Chicago area cars. Popular Hot Rodding with my all time favorite 32 Ford with Eddie Martinez interior. The first issue of CarToons;supposedly only available with a new subscription to Rod & Custom Customs Illustrated:Custom Craft:Custom Rodder;and a couple of Australian Custom magazines. April 1949 Hot Rod with my wife's ex-father-in-law on the cover. Fred Wagner's Saga of the Open Road. Fred was the first person to flag an auto race and did so for many years. An early issue of Hop Up. Not sure why the pic came out in b&w. An issue of MotorSport magazine with an early custom on the cover. An Australian Restored Cars magazine. A Rodding & Restyling with another of my favorite cars:Ollie Hine's 33 Ford coupe with the Brewster grille. Supposedly the car just went on the auction block for over $100,000. A PINK hot rod! Really! YUP! The last two are great books I picked up at an antique shop for a buck apiece. The story of Ted Horn: arguably one of the greatest racers that ever lived. And a privately printed book about New England area midget race car drivers with bio s of many of them.
