I finally got the 347 stroker into the '62 Comet today. It was a pain in the ass! Mostly because the transmission was coming into contact with the floor pan. I had to hack out a good sized section. Once I got all of that done, we were able to get the engine bolted down. now I just need to fab up a trans mount.

The trans, by the way, is a TCI 6X 6-speed auto with paddle shifters. This is my road race car, I wanted something different than the just a T5 or T56. The next project on the Comet is an IRS taken from a '96 T-bird, with some Factory Five goodies.

i had to "adjust" my firewall a bit to clear my McLeod blow proof bell housing. i have a 331 stroke in my Falcon, using try y headers made the install easier then i expected.

yeah, I haven't gotten to headers yet, I have a set of small-tube tri-Ys and a set of Hooker comps. I am installing a Steeroids rack and pinion, so I am probably looking at the tri-Ys.
