Features Columbia, SC Hot Rod Scene

Hello. My son just moved to Columbia, SC and we are looking into it. Are there any shows and clubs in the area for traditional hot rods? Just trying to get a feel for the traditional car and motorcycle scene out there. Thanks.

 

Swing down to Myrtle Beach area most any weekend........usually somthing going on year round.

@flamedabone would be the guy to talk to. He pretty much knows everyone on that end of town.

 

There is some Hot Rod activity in the Columbia, S.C. area but the upstate and the coastal area seem to be more active.

There are a few Hambers in the Columbia area. HRP

 

There is a big cruise-in 2 nd sat of every month April-Dec at the Big-lots parking lot on US-1 between West Columbia and Lexington. Usually between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. About 50-100 cars of every sort , Model A to a Ferrari show up depending on weather. Its put on by the Columbia Classic Chevy Club. They have a facebook page with info on all the shows they sponsor. Hot Rods and Muscle cars show up there.
