i am putting a stick in my roadster. 32 frame with Chassis Engineering x member. they told me they have a clutch and brake pedal set but it does not work. any one have any suggestions? when i called CE he suggested 40 pedals. i am trying to get everything together so i can start building the chassis. any help would be appreciated!
also i am planning on using linkage. unless someone knows where to get an inexpesnive hydraulic throwout bearing for a t5.
Do a search there is a few threads about this , im just going with hanging pedals my self http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=372416&highlight=pedals http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=284892&highlight=pedals
Check out my build thread. "one eyed Roadster" I did something very similar... I used a speedway Hydro throw out bearing for T-5. I did modify X member leg a little where the peddles mount to the frame. Also look at the pictures in my album. lots of info there....
You might use a rig like mine. I have a 241 red ram Dodge mated to a 57 Chevy trans. I used a Hemi to flathead adapter and bolted that to a flathead to Chevy adapter. This allowed the use of the old Ford clutch linkage. I like the 40 up style linkage because the cross shaft alows easy placement of the pedals. I cut down some 40-48 pedals and made a bracket to the center crossmember. It has worked fine for years.
