Which wheel ?

Poll closed May 6, 2013.
  1. Red steelies

    32.4%
  2. Sandstone Beige steelies

    34.5%
  3. Halibrands

    33.0%
  1. That car is the reason red wheels are over done. It looks great in any form but the red wheels make it timeless.

Some bent spoke kelsey's would look killer in this color.(mental note taken), with big and little bias ply.

You didn't have an ''all of the above'' choice, your car looked great with them all.

    Thanks ...

As of now ... the sandstone's and the Halibrands are tied with red being 10 votes behind. I had actually thought that RED would be the winner by a large margin.

    :D

  8. Amazing how even the votes have been. There is no clear winner in this poll.

I prefer the sandstone but,,,,,with your interior color, the red or Halibrands look the best.

  10. The red looks good , it really does !!!
I just think red has been SOOOO over done and so poorly at this point that folks want to see something different no matter how good red looks. But it will come back again.

Sandstone, all the way. I like the extra contrast over the red and I'm just so tired of shiney mags.

It looks like Sandstone Beige may be the new red.:D I've been thinking about a fresh look for my roadster and this may be the way to go.

I prefer steelies over mags, but the Halibrands certainly look good.

  16. All in all it is what era you are trying to portray. Reds are in the 50s Halis are 70s and sandstone is ???
But my vote is defiantly RED!!!

  17. Granted that red is rather overdone in general, but it does look good on this car......with the caps and rings. Of course, some guys back in the day would have run a set of
Olds Fiesta or Starfire flipper caps.

Red & Sandstone seems more classy and portrays a slower car, (to me) while the Halibrands lean more towards the hot rod/race look.
I can see older/reserved gentlemen going for the red while the younger/wilder group would pick the Halibrand.
If you are in the transition years like myself, go with a chrome steelie. You can never go wrong with that! :D

Yeah, red wheels may be a little overdone nowadays (and I have them) and Halibrands are quite popular but are out of most peoples reach due to availability and/or price so there was only one other choice left for some.

  21. What did you decide to use on the car? Or do you have all 3 and just change occasionaly?

I didn't see the poll until it was closed, but I would have voted red.
