I know this has probably been gone over befor.A friend of mine is looking at a clear title on evilbay states for collectible only.Im sure he is gona use it for the price just say you live in louisiana and title is clear in kanas dont you have to have it notirized to transfer to you? i told him to stay away from it i would hate to see him spend this kind of money to just use it for a collectible i mean come on.
The title deal has been pretty well beat to death here, so you might do a search to find out more. I don't know how it is in Louisana, but here if you buy a car out of state, you have to have the car inspected to make sure the numbers match the title. I just bought a 1949 Mercury M-47 pickup. Went thru the same thing. Had to take the truck to DMV and have it inspected for the VIN. I had a valid ownership paper and transfer papers. I even had United States government papers verifying it was correct and imported into the US from Canada. South Carolina DNMV will not issue a title to a vehicle from out of state without seeing the vehicle and the VIN. A lot of the states have gotten wise to all the title/registaration SCAMS
