Well, Sunday it cleared up and was nice & warm for the annual Cincy Hotrod show in Hamilton, OH. Over 300 cars, door prizes, great food and cool people. The 1955 Buick was a show car from the late 50 & early 60's. Never saw this on before. It's being restored.
Sancho, Where did you find that photo? It looks really nice. Must have been fairly new at the time the photo was taken. Thanks for the update.
From the thread on the Custom Car Chronicle I posted a link to. I just thought you (and others) might like to see the article on the history of that car. Especially since you hadn't seen it before..... That pic was AFTER the 1964 magazine feature (at that point it didn't have the pipes in the rear quarters), there was also a later version that was black w/scallops and a pancaked hood. I have always thought the dragons on the seats were very cool.
Jim Wilkins who owns the car now is very talented. Some of you might know his Willys coupe called HANDSHAKER or his old sectioned Shoebox Ford called Little Miss Vicky. I know he wants to change the hood back to the previous version. He is awful brave for taking on this project.
