so i have been holding off on making a thread on here because im computer illiterate, but here we go... i have had my 54 savoy now for several years and bought it strictly as a driver beater while i build my 54 chevy i have had for almost 20 yrs. like anything, i cant leave anything alone. lowering it was not enough. the heavy tall roof never looked right to me. i always seem to have somone elses car in my shop and my stuff get back burnered, usually half finished. i didnt want that to happen to this car. i finally gave in and decided i needed to do somthing drastic to get some much needed personal satisfaction in finishing somthing. only this time i am setting a goal and would not stop till it was done. 34 days to chop and paint the top on my 54 savoy. only im doind it completely solo and still working a full time job. many many nights spent in the shop till midnight. most of my pics have been posted on the hamb fb page. i am really happy with how it came out, i hope you are too.... stripped and ready to go.. yes thats a strap to my rafters..... like i said, solo b pillars cut, leaned, welded... fitting wing windows extended driprail- thanks dr.j interior trim mods.... prepping to bodywork in prime, blocked, and test fitting glass in the booth! sealed with the green base down... panels laid out, pinned, and .025 moss green flake. FLAKE EVERYWHERE!!
