Been working on my 51 Merc today. Took 3" out of the front, 4 in back and laid the rear windshield down some. Also doing the 4 door to 2 door thing. I don't have access to any doors off a 2 door so I cut up the back doors and added a section to the front doors. Made the front doors 52" edge to edge along the trim line which is what someone on here said their 2 door was. I think I am going to keep it a "hardtop" I like the look.
keep an eye on your placement of the back window there a pain in the ass. reason im saying is there looks to be a dip in the one pic. looks like your off to a good start keep the pics coming!!
Yea it was just tacked in a few spots when I took the pics. I did a bunch of measuring and got it in there good now.
You know there isn't a such thing as a rear windshield....right? LOL!!!!! Looks cool. Slddnmatt is doing one of those 4 to 2 deals also. He's right about one thing....lots of work!!!!!! Keep us posted on your progress.
