I got the wife fired up on a 1960's Chevy truck! She wants it red with the wood bed, and yes we really have sunk money into it, and quite a bit of work. The issue is, to save my v-8s for my own projects, I must first get her to fall in love with the 250 inline already in it. The problem-- We keep burning up exhaust donut gaskets where the exhaust tube meets the manifold. I get tired of changing them out and am looking at the v8 change. Is there an "ultimate donut gasket"? OR, is there a way I can make these donut gaskets last for years?
i have gone to a muffler shop and had a sleve made to go inside like original also make sure that the exhaust is mounted so it will not move all around
