Hey guys, new here to the forum. And I'm sure it's been discussed before and I've searched but still not getting the answers I need. I have a 53 Chevy 210, original 235 and 2 sp Powerglide. Well, the car is in the shop getting the trans rebuilt. The guy called and said the flexplate is chewed up. I've been looking everywhere and can not find a replacement. It does have the 12v conversion, the plate on it now is a 139 tooth. Assuming that's the stock one. I've found the right diameter flexplate in 139 or 168 tooth options but the center hole is 2.50 inch diameter. The center hole in the stock one is right at 2 inches. Is there an adapter kit? Is there a replacement plate out there in the world? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

you need to find a good used one, perhaps from a 55-62 model car with 235 and powerglide.

    Sorry, I didn't save any.

  5. The folks at my local scrap yard just crushed a 53 that still had the auto
Most of the time I get to check stuff out before they do that. Man I wish I could have got the trans stuff and the column
