Technical Chevrolet 54 rear brake cylinders

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by Rustem, Apr 18, 2014.

  1. Hi! I have a question. My Chevrolet 54 rear brake cylinders have figures stamp, one has stamped figure 2, the other has stamped the number 3. What could this mean? Who knows? Thank you

Some of the older car parts used even numbers for (R) side odd numbers for (L) side.

  3. Sometimes they use numbers to identify which mold cavity a part was made in. Since they run many cavities within a single mold pour, they can identify a bad cavity and block that one off for the rest of the run.
