It can really pay to drive around to those little forgotten desert towns. I drove down a side road and found this in a fenced area beside the road. I couldn't find the owner but you can bet I'll be back to see if he wants to sell it Kinda hard to see on the photo but check out the custom upholstry from the 70s in it. I bet it's sat here for at least 20 years. Also found this solid Ford less than half a mile away.
What a great find! Yes, living in the southwestern US has its advantages. Steve <DIR>Hosting- 7th annual Nostalgic Show and Go! and swap. That business coupe would make a super cruiser, looks like it could be close to rust free. I had one in high school, and yea, I'd like to have it back. Frank
The hood had a fiberglass bump on it (and more bondo than I'd ever put on a car). The car also has steel fender flares on it. No engine and I'm pretty sure it was being raced at one point. Looked like someone took an old racecar and made a pseudo street rod out of it back in the 70s. I was wondering about what the front axle was from.
Or it could be an old 50's kustom car...turned 70's street freek/race car. Front axle appears to be the stock axle....the car seems to be raised up...possibly for the 70's sky high trend, or maybe it went like this.... 50's kustom turned gasser, then more updates in the 70's with the cragar slots.
