  1. So Im just going to run my factory hub caps with some trim rings. Right now the wheels are black, but I would kind of like the orange color the engine is. There is no orange on the outside of the car now, and probably wont be until I get some patch panels installed. Should I roll black, orange or something else. BTW, the hood is going in for paint this weak, I can handle the blue fender, just not the green hood. The last pic is a photoshop we tried to do.

I dig the flat black. especially cool on a country sedan. the avatar photo looks cool.

  7. Good eye, the color is like an 02 Ford Escort color, has a hint of metallic in it. Looks pretty good on the FE. BTW, hows your frame coming along?

I have to go with orange wheels, dog dish caps & trim rings. Been running them on my primered coupe forever.

That's a cool wagon. I just sold my '56 Ford two door Ranch Wagon. Ford wagons just ooze potential.

I say go orange with hubcap and no trim ring..........you can always snap them on later. Once you put the trim ring on you can't take it off without wrecking the paint.

I vote black with no caps or rings with a white wall tire :D

  17. Thanks for the feedback, I would like to roll with some WWWs, but to much coin to spend right now since I have so much more to do to the body and interior. Im still not sure which I like better, and 55wagon, your right, them rings come off hard, it would kill the paint.

Orange, rings, and dog dish. NO white walls.

  20. You know you're going to eventually want to flake that roof w/ orange kandy so go ahead now with the orange wheels, small caps and trim rings:)

    X2 from me.

It's very common for an enthusiast to get bored with a tasteful car and feel the urge to "spice it up" with bright wheels, wide whites, bright top, flames, scallops, etc., etc., etc.

But for a really nicely styled car like yours - especially since it has a very nice stance as it is now - the best bet is to simply have the good taste to appreciate what you've got and leave it alone.

Changes won't make it look better, just different...and probably not as good as it does right now 'cause it's darn near perfect!

    Just my $.02 :)

Photo 1, black with rings & caps. With the stance, you can pull it off.

  23. Its like you read my mind. I would like the roof to be so bright and metallic that it burns your eyeballs out on a sunny day! And I think the factory caps look huge in the pics, dont seem so much on the car, I dont know what else I could or would use for caps, any ideas?

This dude nailed it. Sweet car in the pic too.

I understand the coin vs. WWW situation, but I think the black wheels will still look great.

  29. Well said.

  30. I'd go with this too.:)
