Changed my Wheels, Did I help or Hurt the look?

What do you guys think? Over the weekend I finally got rid of the wires on the front of my car. They were starting to show age and rust. Bought a new brake kit and a set of 15x4.5 Halibrand’s. I thought I would be in love with it but, now that its together I’m not sure it looks right? Now I’m thinking something like the ET Gasser would look better? I need help guys!


Everyone else I know says it looks good! I’m not convinced.<O</O

umm... i think i like it. not a huge swing either way though.

looks good either way. sometimes i have a hard time getting into different front and rear wheels. but i would say it looks good.

 

Sometimes a change like that just takes a little time to sink in.

A blower - thats what it needs - yeah thats it...
Oh, the wheels? - the new wheels work fine...

 

I guess I lean more toward the early styled T's,,so I like the wires better. HRP

 

New wheels = better IMO.

I like Dustyoldbodyman's idea of a blower though - I wonder if there are any other answers to questions you haven't asked out there...........??

X2 But I agree on the blower. T's look better with outrageous engines.
You can underdrive the blower and it will be happy on the street.

I would prefer wires but it looks great both ways.

 

Never liked wires on front only on T-buckets,so it looks much more matched up now,good job.

 

I think with the front tires you are running the wheels you have on there now look good. Wires need a smaller tire. IMO

 

It's hard to tell by the photo but those spoke wheels look like Harley wheels. What I'm getting at is that the wheels look too wide and the tires look too tall.

The new wheels look better.

Now you need to get rid of the rears. They look out of place. Swap them out for the same style that you put on the front.

I think your problem is that the fronts and rears are too similarly styled without being the same wheel. The slight differences and different finishes seem to be fighting each other. I would suggest a smaller tire for the wires, a matching Halibrand wheel for the rear, or the et gassers do look pretty good.
