Central Texas, Old Kingsbury Aerodrome 11/8/08 Saturday

Its that time of the year again for the Fall Gathering of old Aeroplanes and neat Cars out at the "OLD KINGSBURY AERODROME", located near Seguin, Texas on Saturday, November 8th.
This is where "our own Casey races anything that moves".....duhhh, whats new here?
For those of you who haven't made it thru Roger Freeman's Antique Aeroplane Factory, you really need to add it to your to do list!!!

There is no "official" fee to come in, this year...BUT, since all proceeds to to the Aerodrome to keep it going....I'm gonna expect YOU HAMB'ers to donate extra when you get a hamburger or drink....or just throw some money in to the pot!!! I always hear "what a great time" someone had out here....well, lets do our part to keep it going.
Well, I guess that I've got to go out and see if I can fix up something to "race Casey!"

Pistons and Paint

 

Dammit this fall every weekend there is something I love to attend, there are three other thing that I love going on at the same time. Already paid and have rooms reserved for Pistons & Paint. This weekend is Conroe swap meet and Bastrop Cruisers show. Day of the drags was local fair car show AND a family reunion I couldn't miss. I need to clone myself (no comments) so I can do everything I want.
We had a blast @ the air show. Watching Casey & Skotz Stearman race was worth the trip down there.

 

I was really was wanting to go also but p&p and the dags in okla. wins !

Dang, as Eddie said, "Dammit this fall every weekend there is something I love to attend".....I wanna go there someday, also(but my "flyboy" side is commited to Kingsbury.

The Bastrop cruise is the second weekend in Nov by my info.

 

So does that mean that they are gonna cruise to Kingsbury???.....kinda in the same general area.

I attended last years plane show and had a real good time. Are you all having front row parking for the hotrods again?

Seriously, this show just rocks! These guys are flyin in in stuff that looks like Moses built it. Really gets you thinking about how far aviation has come in a very short time. All kinds of great rods too. Do watch out for the propellers, they are kinda sharp, spin really fast and seem to be unaware that they are supposed to be there for your entertainment!
