Pretty much like a funnycar but being 2-seater. Something like this: And I believe the Cheetah has the same layout. And so does this rare fiberglass car http://www.dogfightmag.com/forum/sh...llison-Sports-GT-Fiberglass-cars-of-1958-1968 Any other cars, concept cars, racecars or kit cars with the same seating layout? The purpose is obvious, to better distribute the big engine weight. The rear axle sets a limit on how backward you can seat. Doesn't matter if live axle or IRS. Of course you can seat above the rear axle (with a tall seating position of course). Or you can even use low mounted axles, coupled with upside down portal axles (like those on the Humvee, Unimog or VW thing). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal_axle Any comments, advice, ideas on such seating layout?
That is my Mallock U2. They were raced in classes like FJunior, Formula Ford, and F2, depending on engine spec & size. And with fenders they ran as Clubmans ( a racing class that set up for Lotus 7 type cars) or Sports. Mine has basically a Formula Ford engine on Webers, but because its older than when that engine was introduced it really should have an earlier pre-Crossflow. Or a Lotus Twincam. ( and that is what me and a buddy of mine are collecting parts for right now.) It weighs less than 1000lb, and a F2 spec Twincam has about 182Hp. Should be a lot of fun...
That first photo of the modern day auto show concept car is enough to get your thread deleted. Far from traditional Hot Rod or Custom material.
Actually is sith. Like the Revenge of the Sith. Now SIT down and pay attention. Pun intended. Now seriously. So it looks. Is that a 2 seater? Where you sit in the rear seats and the front seats where taken out to move the engine backwards? Exactly like that. But seating two. Side by side of course.
I once visited an elementary school with wooden toilet stall doors where a young man had very carefully carved S I T H into the wood-then clearly went back to spelling class.
