Just rebuilt a Rochester 2 barrel, Everything looks good except the HEAT CHOKE COIL SPRING POSITION There is a lever that opens and closes the throttle plate, all the way left and the throttle plate closes, to the right the throttle plate opens, Does the coil spring go on the right or left side of the throttle plate lever. I have a tube from my exhaust manifold to the choke. It's a 56 Chevy Bel Air 265 cu in with a 2 arrel. Any input appreciated,,, Stan

The choke coil is going to expand(unwind)as it heats up. Needs to push the lever to the choke opens side of it. I was thinking that the choke lever had a split in them that the spring went into. D
