You can say what you want about the venerable Stromberg 97, but a set of 1 1/16" big throat 94s does it for me!!!:D What a thing of beauty...

That's WHITE pine to you mister! It doesn't flow to well though. Ha-ha!

Haven't got an intake yet. I'm running a rebuilt to stock 1950 8BA flathead. I'm going to build a set of 1 7/8" headers, run an alternator, and update the distributer and ignition.

Anyone got an opinion on the best intake to go with would be?

what kind of heads are you running?.. I personally like seeing matched heads and intakes on flatmotors.

dont run and alternator though....please.....a rebuilt generator wont fail you I promise..its bad enough your using those 94's hahaha J/K

Nobodys Hero, Right now I only have stock heads. I want to run a matched set, but don't know what would be the best set up since I'm using a stock cam.

The 94 truely is the superior carb in the world of inferior carbueration.

I believe HOT ROD magazine said they (all carbs of the era) atomize fuel as well as a coffee maker...

  13. About the pine intake.....Shouldn't you be using a 2 X 2 vs a 2 X 4?

Thats pretty funny! Yep, I've got a set of 94 s and I love em. Unfortunately, they do take about a full 2 seconds off my 1/4 mile. :)

Well, I'm going from a full roller SBC 350 with a tunnel ram and twin Edlebrocks, with a B&M Auto to a rebuilt flathead that made 100 horsepower when it was new. Ha-ha!!

    Man, this thread is hilarious.

This thread is full of jOAKs. MAPLE if you paint them it would SPRUCE them up a little bit. Just an idea FIR you. If you're not interested, that's PINE with me.

  22. Actually its Mrs. lol, not mister.

A set of 94s can do the job just as well as a set of 97s, just need to be properly tuned. Those manifolds are a beauty of nature. Definitely would get the tree huggers in an uproar quickly.-Weeks
