can you shorten/lengthen a torque tube?

    JUST A WEIRD QUESTION THAT POPPED INTO MY HEAD.I MAY NEED TO DO IT FOR MY PROJECT,THOUGH ,IF YOU CAN

    If you're equipped and have some skills, you can cut and weld anything. A big lathe is handy but not absolutely necessary. Chop saw, big angle iron, and some clamps.

    This has been done for years !!

    Be sure that when you shorten the Drive Shaft, You have it Re~Splined at the correct length.

    Cutting & welding the Shaft itself is asking for a break down on the road.
