I have a 39 Plymouth I fully intend on driving, a lot. The car has glass headlight lenses and I understand they are hard to find. What I would like is to find someone that can form a set of lenses for me from lexon from my glass originals.

Since I know nothing of this process, I would like to have a discussion with someone in the know. The lenses are pretty big, along the lines of about 7" square, more or less. Would this be do able at a reasonable cost?

You can PM me to save some bandwidth.

are those funky sealed beam conversion kits still with the car, or did they get "lost" somewhere along the way?

    Hey Gene,

Can ya make a plaster cast off the oem one's, and cut a piece of thin
plexi or lexan, than form over the plaster buck with a heat gun?
    Trim and go?

You could vacuum form headlight covers, but they wouldn't be lenses that focus the light where it's needed.

  7. If you really want to you can cast up a set of your own. Check out the link and their website.

These guys have all the stuff you'd need to make a mold and make your own out of acrylic. Great stuff for making all sorts of cool things. :D
