   I’ve always wondered what the difference is between a hydraulic flat tappet cam and a solid flat tappet lifter cam, same with roller cams, hydraulic vs solid roller.
   Just a curiosity question I figure the HAMB would know the answer too.

   Basically, hydraulic lifter cams have no clearance ramps. The base circle is concentric.
