Anybody from Wisconsin want to go to Zebs auto salvage this Saturday? Located in Marion specializing in 1920-1970 vehicles. Lots of cars there. Me and a couple of my buddies plan on going let me know if you want to go!

    Yeah, take pictures.

The best thing about junkyarding this time of year - no damn bees!

  4. I'm only about 25 miles from Zebs but haven't been there in 15 years. I've slipped a couple out of there over the years though! Got company coming Saturday, so I won't be coming along, sorry.

Hey, thanks for sharing. All cool pics but the old panel in the 4th pic probably catches my eye the most.

The 2dr. White/Turquoise Pontiac or Olds in the background caught my eye, any pics on that?
It looks like the trees already shredded up nort'. What can be better than walking through the great north woods on a sunny fall day, crunching of leaves under your feet? - nice.

  14. Nice pics I didn't even know about that yard and I have been going to iola for years. Good to know any 47 Chevy fleetliners in there?

...that 56 Olds in the background caught my eye also cause I need about a foot of those front fenders from the headlights back on both sides to put 56 Olds lights in a 54 Ford; anybody got some? I love those old junkyards!

I saw a few messages on fb marketplace that this place is closing by Summer 2023, so thinking of heading up there on a Saturday morning for a look around. Has anyone here been up there lately, by chance? Just over to hours driving for me, but probably worth it.

I was there 3 times last year, and he announced on his business Facebook page that he was closed forever as of December something of 2022, but I have also heard that over the winter the cars had not all been crushed and that he's still open for a while yet. But they cleared out a ton of cars last year when the scrap price was high, and it's pretty high again, so I doubt there will be another stay of execution.

I was very happy with the stuff I bought last year. I felt like his prices were very fair. It's not dirt-cheap like you might expect a place that's rapidly scrapping everything, but it's not overpriced either. I bought quite a bit of stuff for personal projects and a fair amount of flipper/resale parts just to save them, thinking it was all going to be over by winter of last year. There's still quite a bit worth getting.

Virtually all of the sheetmetal is junk, so if you're thinking you're going to find some fenders or quarter panels or whatever I think you'll be disappointed. But lots of good trim and small parts for sure, mechanical bits, etc.

Well worth a trip if it still looks like it did last fall. If you see something you can use, the price will likely be good enough to go ahead and get it, that stuff is not going to be around long. The guy is nice, just call ahead to make sure he's going to be there that day, and when you get there, go to the office and call him before you start walking around. Tell him what you're looking for and let him know you're there.

The first thing I bought there on the first trip was a complete swivel bench seat out of a '59 Imperial for $100, going to use it in my own Imperial. There are still good finds to be found.

  30. Was going to go up a few weeks ago, he said there’s about 300 cars left
