    I came across this very cool, vintage piece of film, from back in 1952. Its on YouTube.
    Take a look at all of the cool cars, from back in the day, and the gas stations and the used car lots as well.

    I guess I never realized how fast automotive styling progressed in that era.
    Even just 10 year old cars looked antiquated compared to the aero/deco/streamline styling of the early '50s...and the few 20 year old cars (early '30s)in the video look really outdated .

    By comparison, my 20 year old Rav4 doesn't much different than a new one

    Wow, now that's my idea of heaven unfortunately i would have been one year old and on the other side of the Atlantic, you lucky Americans...

    Nice little lowered 40 Merc coupe with skirts at 45 second mark. Also saw a '40 ford convert, no top and sans hood.

    Amazing how many woodies running around, too much to take in with one viewing.

    In the 1970s, I thought the 1950s cars looked really, really old. And that was only 20 years prior.
