To me ,this is sacrilege!! A rare nice car s going to get wrecked later today on a banger track! Do you get much of this in usa??

That car looks far to clean to be in a derby.

when I was a kid in the 80’s it was 70’s station wagons

now it’s 90’s and early 2000 fwd family cars !!! Lol

Probably added up the cost of all the restoration parts need - plus the cost of shipping the parts to the UK. Suddenly, banger racing was a viable option.

 

Least it's gonna be driven. Not stuffed in some garage waiting on a 30 year resto that ends up not happening, or in a museum gathering dust. Should do okay with all that sheet metal. A good driver should put it in the money. And after the race, then he can sell it to a restorer. If I had it, that's what I'd do. I'd just make sure the rad was protected, the 8ply's were aired up. Let the carnage begin...

 

Should be a law on these pre 1965 cars !

 

Could at least save the bumper. The body might be 90% filler.

 

Shame. And I think we all can probably hazzard a good guess as to how unwanted items, eg glass, were removed .

That bumper will knock the old Austins , Vanguards , Vauxhalls and Wolseleys right out of the arena.

 

5 minutes of fun to total many useable parts. Go find an big old Humber super snipe and no one will care.
