I have a 61 fleetwood with a 390. I blew a freeze plug on the drivers side towards the rear of the engine. Looks like i have to take off the exuaset manafold and loosen the motor mount to lift the motor to access it. My question is, Is there a easier way to do this or am i in it for the long haul?
I have the same problem on my Fairlane. I did do all the removal, the best quick fix is one of them rubber freeze plugs that get sandwiched to seal. I would recommend pulling up the engine. Mucheasier. It's almost impossible to knock in the freeze plug if the A-arms are in the way. found this link of what a rubber one looks like http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=73880&page=3 http://www.automedia.com/Replacing/a/Freeze/Plug/ccr20070401fp/1
