I've had the pleasure to be slightly involved with this car and see it come together over the course of time and its turned out lovely. Great job Dave.

Dave - coupe looks spot on, can't wait to see it at Supernats. Dave Haskell certainly builds lovely looking, well proportioned and superbly put together rods. Looks like Neil Tadman has really come up trumps too with the interior. You must be really chuffed.

YOu have certainly done right by that car. From the pictures of when you got it it could have taken a very bad turn in the wrong hands. Congrats on building a "real" hot rod and finishing it to a degree that anyone would be proud to have it parked in their garage. If it were mine you would have to see it in the garage during the very late hours of the night as I would be out and about driving the wheels off it.

  22. Great history, great car, great build, great story all told - you've outdone yourself getting it "picture" perfect and done right!

Wow, I'm super impressed! love the car man!

  26. Hi Keith,

Yeah he did a great job of taking it from the point I got to when I realised Im not a bodywork man! Then took my vision and pulled it all together with the endless list of parts I took him and 10 ton of chrome work.
Yep love the interior, its even pretty comfortable!

Car drives great, only issue is Ive had to install an electric fan until I get the rad outlets switched to cross flow as she was getting a little hot as its non-pressurized. Oh well cant have everything, so the fan stays until the winter messing starts.

Already started collecting parts for the next project.......

Holy geez... how did I miss this one? Great looking.

  28. Cheers all for the comments, the more I go and sit quietly in the garage and just look at it the more I love it.

Thanks all, she is going to get the wheels driven off her this year.
I was even contemplating shipping her to the US for a one in a lifetime roadtrip.....will see on this one!
Did a 120 mile trip the other weekend with no hitches.....apart from only getting 11mpg :-(
Need to fettle the 3x2 set up and linkage a little
