Wow what a great find. Beautiful period hot rod. I am curious what does it say on the printed or typed sheet on the console?
Those are the starting instructions! It's got some odd trailing arms at the rear. The old pictures before it got customized are priceless. Quite a car for a 22 year old teacher.
You should type those up for us! I'd be curious to see what they say. Also, when you finally get it home, and get a chance to go over every inch of it, I'd be curious to know how (if) the hydro kickdown rod connects to the multi carb setup. I also wonder how he's shifting the hydro... homebuilt linkage or early B&M/Hurst shift linkage... Damn if that thing isn't the coolest!
Wow! You just pegged my jealousy meter. That is a bitchin' car! The chromed, louvered and painted 25 vent hood in the photo of the car with the Ford steelies and small caps is really something. I love pretty much everything about it...congrats!
That 4-bolt Master Cylinder is a Ford passenger car, '52-'56; it's the same as I have on my '55 F100. The m'cyl. with the inside bracket and swing pedals bolt right in, and secure to the dash for complete triangulation. Strong and smooth. This Deuce is the best '32 find I can recall ever reading about. The only thing that comes close is Cliff Ambrose's '32 five window, he sold it in San Jose in 1958. Similar style, only with 296" flathead. Also 'show condition'... Thanks for posting. Made my day!
I noticed 2 headlight bars...one for running with fenders and one for running without... the lower headlight bar looks to also be the front shock mount...too bad he had to cut holes in the fenders to clear the shocks....yeah, I love it.
I like the old photo with the caps and rings better than the Lancer caps. I didn't see that photo until after I bought the car, and didn't notice the chromed hood that Brian picked out. I hope it's still under the paint. I think the lower bar is strictly a shock mount, but will reinspect it when it gets home.
Cookies is still in bussiness here in Fresno, Still family owned. Easton is just outside Fresno. Nice car
On another note, call richard baskin at baskins ulpholstery here in Fresno, He will know the car. He knows every hotrod in the central Valley.
Holy -----ing s--- Oh, my...that's the coolest...and to top it off, I like Olds motors..and full fenders...and...and....and.. How the heck are all the best 32's in Mass... I should move X2 from me.
Awesome car! Get rid of the current steamroller rubber on the front, put on a size like the old pic shows, and it will be PERFECT.
Thanks for the info Mike, I keep coming back to look at this thing! That's "Holy Grail" stuff right there and I agree it's one of the best '32 finds ever!
Yea Dave...I saw it...and looked at the pics many times, then I tried to read the rest of todays new topics and the thread titles look all blurred..unreadable.... I HAVE REACHED THE END OF THE INTERNET ....no sense in going on any further,.... I'll sell the computer, take up stamp collecting..
Beautiful*. Thank God it escaped a '70s, '80s, 90's, '00s... makeover. * except the shift knob, that's horrible.
Wholly crap what a find. You are gonna be surrounded where ever you go all summer with that beauty. I can't wait to see it in person, but I'll make sure not to park anywhere near it cuz everything else is gonna get overlooked for sure !!!!
WOW ! Very cool find. For some reason, anything in a Don Montgomery book has special meaning to me. Congratulations on the score.
