This weekend marked the 5th annual Highway 99 Cruise & Car Show. My mother being the socialite that she thinks she is, has been a board member since day one. Knowing that she'd be gone the entire weekend, I figured I'd have time to put my feet up and work on my new care package for Case IH.................til she called at midnight last night complaining of a LOUD knocking noise on her 70 Corvette. Today I headed out, armed with tools and u-joints and wandered through the masses of street rods, muscle cars and classic cools......taking pictures along the way of things that caught my eye. I say EYE because my right one was swelled shut from the crap that had accumulated on the bottom of her Vette. Chainers, good at washing the PAINT, but POOR POOR POOR at spraying off the undercarriage every once in a GREAT while. One of my PERSONAL favorites.......... ..........
After starting a thread with such a killer car, the only thing to do is follow it up with another killer car.
Usually I'm not a fan of fourdoors, but I sure think those flat top hardtops time has come. Looookin' Gooood.
I'm a BIG fan of them, just never been lucky enough to come up on one. They always seem to be in the cool car section too......Caddy did a version, Pontiac and I think Olds. Killer shape.
This ones for my gal Ragdoll.........This Ford's for you. A nice sedate F truck and an outta control F panel.
I really dig this bodystyle of Chevy...........The side profiles remind me a lot of first gen Corvettes.
Like any good KID, I dig GADGETS..........but like any good WOMAN, I LOVE being able to see myself in the reflection.
I do believe this car is BAD luck, after spending WAY too long chasing it down, it's gone and froze up my computer. No fault of the loose nut behind the keyboard.
Ahh you make me blush a lovely shade of pink. RAGDOLL pay attention girl! This is THE sexiest Merc to ever grace the face of the Planet. 4 doors and a flat top, covered in a LOVELY shade of pink, brown interior and driven by a man with 3 or 4 kids? *I dunno they moved so much it LOOKED like they were multiplying*
What's a ram, the Star of David and a lamb in a skirt have in common??? I don't have the slightest idea either, but the Dodge Brothers sure made a neat lil truck.
Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Chevrolet all made the underappreciated 4 door flattop hardtops in 59 and 60 at least. There were also some from Buick, Pontiac and Chevrolet in 61.
