So when did your relatives stop using Ferrous and went to Pharis?

Congratulations! There are times when I cannot believe what I see on this board.

    This is one of them.

This was the best Christmas present ever!!!!

It took a few tries to get the cold motor warmed up and idling, then a few more tries to ensure that I was idling on the idle circuit. Then after a bit of intermediate circuit adjustment, the motor was responsive and smooth. The spray bars were distributing fuel across their full length, and the accelerator wells were obviously dumping fuel as designed.

    I am one happy grinch!!

Looking back at some ol pics tonite... looks like it was about 3 years ago that I started trying to piece together a pair of Winfield S-B downdraft carbs... and bout a year and a half since I realized that I would need to go “all in” to get exactly what I wanted.

The way I understand the manufacturing of the parts you had to build a CAD file of each part & do an assembly of those files to ensure each piece fit-right?

Oooooooh yeah.... many many hours of design, and countless fit checks prior to starting any machine work

Machinists are incredible...this is a big salute to your incredible training coupled with your mechanical sense...genius

I know how happy you are with the achievements made here...we share in that enthusiasm...its almost as if you were back in the Winfield design room pumping out prototypes...

It certainly gives one an appreciation for the knowledge that was involved in creating these limit pushers of the Yesteryear...Congratulations @Kevin Pharis
