I am getting ready to build a 390 cadillac and was wondering

where to purchase some main and connecting rod bearings.

Ive heard of people going to egge

I was wondering if these were good bearings or just garbage from

    overseas.

I would like to get something with a decent name.

Im sure this has been covered before,I looked in the seach but found

    no direct answer.

    SORRY

We still offer our Sealed Power Main bearings for the 1963 390 Cad engine, part number 4419M.
The rod bearing number is 2120CP which you will need 8 of.
Cam bearings for the '59-'62 engine are # 1115M.
    " " " " " " '63 engine are # 1216M.

We also offer timing chain, timing gears, replacement cam and lifters, push rods, intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, and piston rings.

Our complete FelPro gasket set number is FS-7893PT-4 for the '59-'62 engine, and FS-7893PT-2 for the '63 engine.

    Hope this is some help.

I'm sorry to say that the '49-'55 331 Cad engine we no longer make the engine bearings, rings or pistons which is a 3.810 bore engine.

We do still offer the timing set, the '53-'55 camshaft, no lifters, we do offer the valve springs and valve guides.

We also offer the complete gasket set in our FelPro line which is # FS-7673PT-2.

I keep an eye out at swap meets and on Ebay for old stock from parts stores and machine shops. I've picked up several sets of main and rod bearings that are old enough that you know they're U.S. made. What year are you looking for parts for?

Heathen if that question is for me I just dropped off my crank and rods at the machine shop and will be needing bearings very soon I believe my motor is a 53 or 54 the numbers at the front of the block are gone but the heads are 54 its a really cool old hot rod motor does this mean speedway bearings are foreign junk? I hope I am not hyjacking this post.

Speedway's Cadillac bearings are Egge's and for this application are made in China. I've just gone through this and eventually purchased bearings through a Hemming's advertiser ( NOS Cadillac). All current repro bearings are made in China [IMG]. Regards, Ron
