A quick question I've been searching for over an hour and can't find any info on this. I need the timing, dwell and gap for this 264 anyone know? Thanks

1955 shop manual shows 5* advance at an idle speed of 350 rpm(yes, 350) to keep the vacuum and mechanical advance out of play.

    plug gaps .030"-.035"

dwell-manual shows point gaps set between .175"-.125".

According to my 1958 MoToRs Manual, the point gap is .016"; the dwell angle is 16-33 deg ('54 thru '56) or 30 deg ('57 & up). The initial timing is not quoted in degrees. Rather, it's stated as "Yellow timing mark (on pulley or damper) aligned with '5' on timing indicaror". Hope this helps.

My mistake, should have read .0125-.0175. Recommended closer to .0175" for new points to allow for wear.
Yellow mark on balancer should be 'TDC'. Likely after 50+ years, the mark is no longer yellow-reason I omitted the color.
    sorry for the mis-info.
