I would buy a roll or bunch of the cable cloth harness, if heaven forbid you need to trace some wires at some point in the future you may not be able to get exactly matching stuff.

My son, for your penance, you must procure and attach 277 drawer knobs:eek: of suitable size and ugliness to fully conceal the identity of your 1934 Ford.:D

    Today
    GD Diary:
I hate this crap. Wiring sucks ass!!!!
here is where I sit. I needed the MSD over-ride installed where I could get to it so I chose the "Coil" function on the switch plate below the dash. The other functions where lights, start, fuel and accessories. The pump switch allows me to turn off the pump off a the dash, the light switch runs the fog light with an alert indicator in the cluster, the start button is wired to the start solenoid.
    upload_2018-4-8_22-3-21.png
the MSD override is the tricky piece, I JB welded a washer and nut to the opening "coil" to match the other switches.
I glued in threaded posts with JB weld to secure the MSD switch. I had to hog out a relief for the switch in the panel.
    upload_2018-4-8_22-7-13.png
I added a brass tube to the switch to extend it though the panel and used JB weld to attach it.
    upload_2018-4-8_22-9-4.png
I cut down a brass knob to control the MSD switch to avoid the others. I drilled and polished the other switches
    upload_2018-4-8_22-12-6.png
The completed panel is installed under the dash. It is offset to allow the dash to bolt in . The harness and the MSD harness is ran to the cowl
    upload_2018-4-8_22-14-28.png
Forgive the temp ZZ Top key chain but the panel is installed and wired

I use numbered marking tape on my wiring to help if tracing a wiring problem.

Yes it is, I bought that 3 years ago, loved it the moment I saw one on line and had to build my interior around it.

He makes some nice parts, he's crafty

This one hung from the dash in a red ,36 five window I built in the 80s. Divorced the wife. Sold the car, kept the key chain.

took a day off yesterday from wiring to go hit the little white ball around in 70 degree weather. Shot a 79 at 3 Rivers in Kelso, drank a couple beers on the deck after the round. Today it is 50 and raining and look what showed up on my desk...back to the salt mine

Kirk and his wife are good friends of ours, great people and both very talented. I've got one of his gas caps and a Flying Anvil on my Diamond T, and a one -off flying lady Auburn hood mascot on my '63 Riviera. Good stuff!

I got a bit done this evening, doesn't look like much but this is time consuming work. I started at the Right headlight and came across the front of the radiator picking up the horn and the fog light on the way the way to the left front light. Then along the inner fender to the firewall and the left side bulkhead fitting. All wire tied and cloth wired.
    upload_2018-4-10_20-53-14.png
Ran across the bottom of the radiator so it could pick up the horn I added to the lower grille shell and the fog light
then up through the loops I added to the inner fenders prior to paint.
    upload_2018-4-10_20-55-38.png
Through the last loop and into the bulkhead bracket (ribbed for her pleasure)
    upload_2018-4-10_20-57-13.png
And a look from above, the alternator cable is on top, the headlight harness below..
    upload_2018-4-10_21-6-40.png
It takes a lot of time to make it look like this, but detail is the devil right?
I powered up the electrical system for the first time tonight. I ran the windows up and down, ran the wipers around a couple of times to find "park", turned the fog light on and off. So far so good. No starter solenoid power, I ran out of patience and Crown Royal so that will wait till tomorrow. Probably the neutral safety circuit.

I hate wiring, but seeing it come to life may be worth the effort.

One of my favorite movies. Its a stupid game but I am addicted to it. Played St. Andrews in Scotland, Mt. Juliet in Ireland, the Blue Monster at Doral, every track in Vegas, Cancun, Cabo, St. Thomas, Oahu, Maui and every course in the PNW I can find...I am a certified fanatic. I like building cars, I love golfing.

The basis or concept on this 34 build is a hot rod that would be acceptable at the country club (I am not a CC kind of guy) but you get the idea. When you see the car complete, you will see the connection between my passions.

I like that idea, but I have a cool shift knob already. I kept the tank out of the trunk to make room for my sticks, I will upholster the back of the seat to keep it tidy. I am adding tie down loops to keep my golf bag from rolling about in the corners.

Chi Chi Rodriquez said that Shadow Creek was what God had intended for all of Nevada but he ran out of money building the course. Top 5 courses of mine in the world.

Guess it is too late to add a golf bag door to a rear quarter.o_O You may hate wiring, I just haven't a clue how it works, you ran the wires neatly, what does the large black wire with red tracer work? Bob

4 gauge wire from the one wire power gen to the trunk mounted battery.
Funny you mentioned the club door. I was close to cutting one in but decided against it at the last minute, Due in part to several guys on here that brought me to my sanity.

I don’t know diddly about golf.. but my user name is what it is for my at home “speed shop” “Shadow Creek Speed & Custom”. When I came up with the name years ago I looked around to see if Shadow Creek had been used anywhere but I guess I didn’t look hard enough.. I chose the name because the creek that is on our property is completely shaded, and “Shady Creek” didn’t sound like it would draw much good business...nobody wants shady work done on their car.

Love what your doing on the car Bandit Billy, it’s looking great!

Thanks SC. It is a little know track in Vegas, been there for quite a while owned by the MGM and is basically an invite only course. I begged my Casino Host for years to get me on there. I hear a round is $550 not including caddy tip, assuming you have to pony up to tee it up.
