Hi Just purchased my 1948 P15 Plymouth back. I had sold it to a friend about three years ago, he finished it and made some improvements and sold it back to me recently. Business coupe, 318 w/360 heads, 727, a/c. As with most street rods, have some things I'd like to update/change. Mike
This being the HAMB, I presume you mean "backdate/change"? Looks like a swell car, and could be very close to my vision of perfect if you stick a stock dash, steering wheel, and column back in it; swap the current wheels for steelies with Plymouth caps; and replace the buckets with a naugahyde bench seat. -Dave
It's a narrowed 73 Omega (nova) subframe (3/4") with the omega rearend; thinking Plymouth steelies aren't going to work
I didn't say Plymouth steelies, I just said steelies with Plymouth caps. I think one of the wheel services can build you a 5 on 4.75" '40 Ford style wheel and modify a Plymouth cap to fit. Alternately, you could possibly re-drill to the Plymouth bolt pattern. I'm not sure if it was 5 on 4.25" in 1948, but even a later Plymouth steelie and cap would look good. -Dave
Mike, ..........Welcome to the H.A.M.B...............from Arkansas City, KS. To each their own, and speaking of owning...........you are very lucky to have had, and once more have the opportunity to have it again. Can't be any better than that. There are a couple of cars and bikes that I wish I could have again. Your car looks Bitch'n to me. Enjoy the H.A.M.B., it's a kool place to be. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
