I have a fresh rebuilt r-10 overdrive with a 12 volt solenoid. Also running a slip yoke tailshaft. I am told this was original to a 50 mercury. Transmission rebuild by Van Pelt, and operates perfect. Overdrive works, and it is still functional in my car. You can drive it your self. I plan on pulling trans this winter to swap drivetrain to small block ford. If I could afford a sbf to flathead trans adapter, I'd keep it. Right now I have it behind my 41 flathead 221, and it does great. My flathead is wiped out, so now trans is for sale. I have the shift linkage set up for factory column shift, with the cable and the electric all works. This will fit behind the 8ba flatheads also. Thanks 6three 6 37three one FIVE
