Salt conditions were really bad I made one run on Tuesday waiting in line for four hours. To get a feel for how it was heres the in car video of my run. Some details about the car for those who dont know its a rear engine modified roadster powered by a supercharged 1950 Flathead Ford V-8 machined and built by my son and I thats under 300 cubes. We currently hold the SCTA record in the class at 195.650 that my friends is the fastest flathead roadster run to date on the salt I set that record last year. On this run I was only able to get her to 181 by mile three but considering the conditions it was a fast run and the fastest vintage engine run for the event and actually a lot faster than many runs made with much bigger and more modern engines as well as much better streamlining. It was a handful so hold on. The second video at the very beginning shows the car between mile two and three it looks like Im on a rail but the in car video tells whole the story. Turn up the volume to enjoy the sound of the Flathead pulling the best she could in the condition's
