looking for more pics and info! need referance because i'm going to be building the model of this, given to me for free by a good friend...
The Rodder's Journal had an outstanding article on it last year. Should have more than enough pics & info. Can't remember which issue #.
There has been quite a few pics on the HAMB. CHRIS recently seen in up close in person and has a bunch of pics of it. Search his threads, I think it's inlan emperors.
Inland Emperor Freak. Yeah, I got to see the thing up close. Flippin amazing car, lives not too far from me
2002p51.. Nice build on the model.. Looks like you could almost drive that thing.. The Orange Crate has been my favorite ..
I agree, excellent work. I think I built one when it came out, I didn't go so far as detailing those interior panels though. That model was one of my favorites, then there was the green one with all chrome chassis that was pretty cool. pic from the HAMB
A bit off topic perhaps, but I know a guy who has one of the original car show display signs for this car hanging on the wall in his shop out in Washougal,WA.
Hot Rod Magazine (as well as some of the "little books") used to print their feature pictures in green ink. (I miss those days.)
For it's day it was pretty tough, but not so much if you're experienced. It's got some fiddley bits, like the body supports, but with care and patience it will all go together well.
I grew up near the Woodburn Dragstrip and got to see and hear it run a number of times. Too bad the model doesn't come with sound!
I saw a very similar, orange painted, Ford SOHC powered tilt-body A or 32 sedan at March Meet around 2000-2003. Anyone have pics of that?
http://public.fotki.com/Lordmodelbuilder/car_shows/58th-annual-grand-n/ Here's a link to the pics I took of the car at the 07 Grand Nat Roadster show. Scroll down, they are on the 1st page. Brad
I fixed it for you. Take whatever pics you would like. Not sure about the model. It might be the same one. Brad
Hey Chris, any chance you could measure the windows on it? I am curious what is the true amount of that wicked chop.
