I see that Bob is back in the hospital. Does anyone know what's going on??

...was hopin to see Bob at the Torquefest in a couple weeks, ...hope he's doing well....

I saw some pictures of Bob on his facebook page yesterday and it looks like he is in hospice care. Many prayers for him and Maggie.

I so loved following Bob and Maggie's threads about their trips. The one to Alaska was my favorite. Much comfort and prayers for him.

 

That's really sad news, Bob is a hot rodder through and through, but most importantly a kind man we've all had the pleasure of getting to know. He was always quick with a smile and handshake, even this past year when I bumped into him in Detroit. I wish he and his family peace and comfort.

 

Prayers for Bob, Maggie and the family. Difficult times I'm sure. We continue to pray for miracles, even if the miracle is peace. God be with you my friend. Even though we have only met a few times, you’ve always made me feel like we’ve been best friends forever.

This is a sobering truth but truth none the less.
I have seen Bob at the HAMB Drags many times and always with a smile on his face. I did love following their trip to Alaska. Only a genuine hotrodder takes their hot rod to the Arctic Circle. He is definitely not a fair weather hotrodder. I do pray for fair weather though so to speak on this as it appears to be the last leg of the journey. Man this is sad.

Talked to Bob a couple days ago on the phone...he was cheerful but sounded tired. When you go at life at Bob's pace, you get tired. Bob napping at B'ville in '12.

 

This is Brian, Bob's son.. He is at home and comfortable. As it was mentioned above he is in hospice care. Thanks for all the kind words about my Pa, I am sure he hears them.
P.S. He still insists on wearing his HAMB hat, even in his at home hospice bed.

 

Boy if this doesn't take the fuel outta the carb. Will be thinking of him and his family. Cancer can bite the big one.
