Again time has taken its toll. The comment from most folks who met Bob Kehoe was that he was the consummate Gentleman Racer. received from Jim Brierley; BOB KEHOE I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Bob Kehoe passed away on wed. Aug 13 2014. Bob joined the 2-club I believe in 1970, driving his Sundowner Corvette. He had fallen and broke his back a few months ago. To complicate that, and a heart operation, he couldn't recover. He had been in a lot of pain, now he is resting comfortably. Bob became interested in 4-bangers and joined the 4 ever 4 cyl. Club in 1993 and restored a really nice sprint car powered by a 4-port riley and also a ’30 coupe with a Denver Miller under the hood. RIP Bob. Bob was probably most remembered with his affiliation to Gale Banks and the Hanky Panky Studebaker. Later, the Sundowner Corvette and lately the Riley Special Sprint car. John

I know that a little bit of time has passed, but I wanted to post some photos from Bob Kehoe's memorial. Bob was a very humble man for the outstanding accomplishments he had made. Here are a few photo's hung on display. (sorry about the glare) Sundowner, fastest stock coupe, fastest corvette, 240mph Hanky Panky Special Bob with Jay Steel and the Riley Four Port Special engine Pancake Breakfast in the Riley Special Big Al, his Chrysler Roadster that he rebuilt from the ground up. Bob did beautiful work on his cars, and was a real craftsman.
I believe Bob's quick decline began after a fall from a stool while trying to wash his truck or something. The point is: As we, age gravity IS NOT our friend. Use a little more caution; you're friends do not want to loose you.
