In April of 2003, someone on here posted this picture. I'd like to write something about this car, and I need to know who took the picture, who owns the car, and how to contact the photographer and the owner.

Looks like a SoCal Speed Shop car. Call them and see if they know about it.

I've seen that car in person. It was at the Autorama in Cobo Hall (Detroit) a year or two ago. I didn't post that pic, though, and I don't know anything about the car and owner. Sorry.

Saw this car in a motel parking lot in Columbus(Goodguys) about 97 or 98
Black primer, orange steelies and radials,no upholstery. It was for sale for $26,000

2001 Kirk White had it at Hershey, nicely painted blue and white with bias plys
still no interior, for sale $56,000

2004 Cobo Hall, new interior, super detailed.

I have pics of all the versions, but they are pre digital,
I can get them scanned if you want .

  7. I guess everybody's seen this car. It looks like a car I've seen here in West Texas ( Lubbock ). I think Flat Top Bob has a pic of it also. But then again, it might be a similar car.... I'll see if I can find the pics I have.

    Thanks for the helpful replies.

I'm attaching the only other picture that I have of this car. I'd certainly like to see any other pictures of it that show it at Cobo Hall.

The mystery is almost solved. Now about all I'd really like to know about it is the name of its owner.

  9. Here's the one I took at a local show a few years back. The same show I saw Jake's Stude wagon for the first time.

I bet the Period-Correct Police would write him up for having an electric fan and an alternator.

  12. I missed the fan but that alternator kind of jumps out at you alright.

I wonder how glaring it would be if he'd painted it eggshell black.
