Ok , black with red wheels has been done to death.....probably because it looks so good!
This is a traditional look for fire trucks....

You are correct...its been done to death. Please don't paint the rest of your truck flat black.

I'm guessing it will be red. Pretty sure he is building a Fire Truck. Those wheels look GREAT!!

Actually it seems like very few bother to read before replying in any of the threads. Looking great so far! Having a weak spot for '41 "big" Fords lets see more pictures as this progresses.

Yeah , it's going to be a firetruck. The black was refering to the frame. I was throwing around the idea of two toning the cab red with a black roof & hood like Chicago Fire colors.

  12. I think red wheels on a fire truck look good as long as they are not on a yellow fire truck.

I like lace panties too as long as I am not seeing them on a pro lineman.

Now there is a good use for an old fire truck. Never thought of using one for a ramp truck.

I ordered them from SoCal speedshop on ebay....it was luck not skill that the OD of the cap fit perfectly with The ID of the support ring.I drilled and tapped the ends of the rear axles so I could screw the caps on the back.
