Ok I'm going to take another wack at this blue color , in previous posts I've seen the color on the BT roadster called 1936 Washington Blue, but I swear it's a "bluer" color than WB. Does anyone have a modern paint code for the paint used on this actual car? I know this is needle in a hay stack stuff. Is Mr Bishop still on the HAMB? Thanks anyways guys.
The one thing I found out when researching this colour a few years ago from some restoration sites is apparently Ford sprayed it over a red oxide primer which changes the colour quite a bit.
Thanks guys for your responses, great info here. I think my best bet is to take a custom color mix that's close and add / subtract from there.
Check out my 3 window build page as it is PPG WB that is shot over red primer. We did add more black and removed a little of the white from the formula so it is some what a custom mix. Looks BLACK under low light and WASHINGTON BLUE in the sun light.
