    i can't find much info on these distributors. Looks like a polished ford unit that has been modified to me.

    i got this with a bunch of old parts and would like it to land in the hands of someone who recognizes what it is and will do something with it.

    Post up what you know about BERK.

    Dual what? Coils? They came stock from Ford with dual points.

    Never heard of Berk.

    I have seen the name only, as an early converter of Fords to dual coil...there were several, along with lots of amateurs...from what I can see this one is a Ford case rather than the commonly used LZ ones (all used a mix of V8 and V12 parts, more commonly a 12 case, 8 cam and advance, 12 rotor and coils)
    This one has a simple adaptor plate...other Ford cased ones used a plate to adapt the
    LZ coil assembly.
    Very interesting piece...can you show points chosen and rotor?

    Bruce, this was thrown in a box unassembled. Tell me what to look for. There are about six helmet type distributors thrown into the same box with a myriad of loose parts
