i got some blue prints off here a while back, and am in the process of bending up some chassis research TE 440 frames for me and a handful of buddies. they are turning out pretty well, still need to TIG them up. might bend up some extras to sell not sure yet. going to make a jig this week for them so they go together a lot faster.
dont have a set price in my mind, kinda feeling it out to see what people would want to pay, and still sell at a fair price
SCHWEEEEEEEET!!! please finish that with a narrowed banjo, and the tube type (rubber biscuit) front mount modified to take a cross spring !! working on a K-88 influenced ride myself
mine is just going to be a frame, i like the look of the metal, and have to many projects as it is, i will just hang it from the ceiling in my office for a while. i have to finish my belly tank first lol my buddies are going to finish theirs not sure which suspension style they are going to run
I am interested, depending on price. I think you should be sure to charge enough, however, to cover your time spent as well as material costs. By the way, where did you come across the plans, would be interested in scoring a set for my self? Brian
been a while since i posted on this thread, bent up a hand full of the 440 chassis last year. have a customer in nebraska ordering one so i figured while i was at it might as well bend up a 448 styled chassis as well. pics of the new chassis and some of the older ones.
Looks great! If you have any questions or need detail shots of an original TE-440 let me know we have one
had some primer mixed up today that resembles the zinc chromite coating used on the originals, and brushed the chassis up. looks pretty good. might list this one up for sale and build some more
i have enough tubing laying around i think i might bend up a k88 style chassis. i will post up some pics when i get that far
